Moments for Moscow (V.79-2) Sketch on a Song (of Shelley) A setting of Shelley's short poem 'Song' for baritone and piano, of moderate to advanced difficulty. This song was commissioned by a friend of mine with whom I studied at the Moscow Conservatory. Its sporadic and repetitive motives illustrate the desolation and greyness of Shelley's text, but also the simple beauty of its fleeting lines.
