Music for a Decent Number of
Winds (V.23)
A one-movement set of variations on a ridiculously simple theme. The
theme is mutated, sometimes while putting up a good fight, through
various musical styles ranging
from baroque to jazz, impressionism to medieval court dances, and
wackiness ensues.
A rollocking
romp through the history of music without the slightest hint of taste,
Music for a Decent Number of
Winds
does more to the woodwind octet than
anyone ever thought possible--taking it to new heights of lunacy!
Octet
scored for flute/piccolo, oboe/english horn, and pairs of clarinets,
horns, and bassoons.
