Serenade in E (V.15)
A simple, charming piece for
chamber orchestra; scored for flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, and
horns in pairs, tympani, harp and strings, with an extended solo for
the first violin.
Serenade is a
very early piece of mine, refined and simplistic, with beautifully
velvet textures and fluid lines. Serenade
remains technically facile and thus is perfectly suited for beginning
to intermediate ensembles.
