Ephemeral Echoes (String Quartet #1) (V.37)

Quartet of moderate to advanced difficulty, for standard string quartet, in four movements:

1. Breath of the Echoes
2. Dance of the Echoes
3. Whispered Silence (The Prayer)
4. The Echoes Die Out Forever...

A loosely structured string quartet, governed more by a programme than any formal conventions. The second violin actually has the most prominent part, being the 'protagonist'. Each movement, which is realtively short, centers around one melodic idea and a certain texture to tell a story as if each instrument was a character in some ancient folk tale.
